Viasat is watching Hurricane Florence closely. We stand ready to offer support to any customers and partners impacted by this storm.

Some customers might experience slower speeds on our network due to Hurricane Florence, even if they are not located in the path of the storm. That’s because the equipment that powers your satellite internet connection is not always situated near your home – in fact, it could be hundreds of miles away. In the event of an outage, our network engineers will be on standby to get services restored as soon as possible.

Feel free to contact us  at viasatlistens@viasat.com with any questions or concerns, and look for updates from us as new info comes in.

Above all, stay safe and dry. Our best wishes go out to everyone affected.

Devastating, life threatening weather in NC and some parts of SC, thanks for thinking of them, and offering support, some things matter way more than Mbps.

Interesting post. I am directly being impacted, and obviously internet is still working. Kind of assumed it wouldn’t. I read it as a major ground terminal is located somewhere along the path.
