So, how many LNFZs do you estimate it taking ?  Max Payne 3 was the largest game I downloaded so far , and it was 34 GBs.  It took till 4:30 almost starting just after 12 AM , but that was when I wasn't getting bogged down speeds at times and full on 2.2 Mb/s.  Some nights I've been down to 400 KB/sec, but after the update I haven't seen that since.. So I'm hoping maybe 2 days worth ?

To be fair, that is over 1/3rd of your monthly DSL allowance up town (AT&T).

As crappy as the LNFZ has become now for me I expect it to take at least a week. Speed during the LNFZ are terrible now. Exede has been oversubscribed.

IMHO, not so much oversubscribed but LNFZ being an overwhelming success and  perhaps too successful. I suspect ViaSat never anticipated the number of ways subscribers would take advantage of it though automated methods and the resultant congestion that occurs.

For example, assuming Name141 were to download 34GB each night (probably not the case), we'd be talking a terabyte a month during LNFZ alone or the Exede 12-1TB plan - enjoy it while it lasts, with newer technologies like Aterlo NightShift on the horizon it may be sooner rather than later  ;)

Can you guys get the option for Zipped or ISO files?

As for slow downloads during LNFZ, I have seen the same thing at the start of the zone, but then it got faster. I would suggest you try for a weekday, weekends are busy.

And as TheName stated, 34 Gig's in 4.5 hours is a pretty good rate any-night.

I have no idea how legal downloads are.  I assume Steam , Origin, etc doesn't zip the files ?

edit: Just FYI: I started a download now and it's 900KB/sec to 1.4 Mb/s steam - Dallas. ( https://www.indiegala.com/store free giveaway for another FYI.)

Using a torrent to get pirate copy, or questionable downloads, then the speed's might be limited by several issue on the server side.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say all GTAV PC torrents are fake right now or Rockstar would have already talked about a leak.

No.  I was just assuming that's not possible besides on 'good nights' now.  But I've been seeing better speeds again after the modem update.
