My merchant account compliance requires that I filter or close port 80 on the Viasat modem/router. How do I do that?

Hi John,  What modem do you have?  Port 80 is always open from what I understand from our techs.   Please send an email to viasatlistens@viasat.com with your account and contact informatio.  We may have a solution.

Model RG1100. I will email Viasat as you suggested--thank you. The phone tech was clueless.

Yea. That technical of question would be way beyond phone support which is basically follow a script, do a couple troubleshooting steps, and kick the problem to the next level.

I have a business account with Viasat. Surely they provide internet connectivity to other businesses who also require a secure connection for credit card processing. This cannot be that unusual a requirement.

Sorry John we won't be able to assist a business account we're all residential support. There's a completely dedicated team for those accounts.  I don't know if they do email but their phone number is 855-313-4111
