Horrible Service

I cant wait to terminate this service. I'm so tired of troubleshooting slow Internet speeds, unplugging the modem, network congestion. At 11:00PM last night my upload/download speeds were .36M/.25M. Dial up would have been faster. This morning upload/download speed is .45M/12.5M. No reason. I have yet to get what I contracted with Viasat for any reasonable period of time.

You can save your time and frustration when it comes to troubleshooting Michael. Your beam is obviously one of the oversold/over utilized ones. I thought by now our VS1 beam would have seen better speeds since no new customers have been put on in a couple months and each and every day customers disco for one reason or another I figured at least SOME ease up would have occurred. NOPE. Getting about the same speeds you are.

Back when I had dial-up, I  never got higher than 18 kbps.

Well, NetZero still offers free dialup plans and 56 Kbps dial up modems are dirt cheap on Amazon if feeling nostalgic.

Now if I only had that old landline that was only capable of 14.4 on a really good day ;)
