If I'm working on my computer for an extended period of time it frequently says connection lost will reconnect in 2 minutes. What is causing this?

This happens to us as well - several times a day! And also takes out our exede/VOIP phone. Very frustrating. It occurs even during clear, cloudless skies as other satellite systems (DirectTV) stay solid. Add to this, an ever  increasing amount of SPAM and no alternative ISP is making us very unhappy with Wildblue/Exede.

One thing that may be at the root of the disconnects may be the power setting of your computers network adapter,

As to addressing spam, there are two ways to access email.

Browser based web view or installing an email client program such as Thunderbird or Outlook.

Installing a program like Thunderbird (from Mozilla/Firefox) allows much greater control over your email including custom spam rules.

The above is the wireless adaptor on my laptop. There are similar power settings for wired adaptors.
