Exede throttles me before I reach my data allowance. Why?

Same here but just 2 more days it started at 80%

There are other possible reasons for slow speeds. Congestion on your beam at the time, weather (cloud cover) at your home or gateway and, the server you are connecting to (even if it is for a speed test) being busy and, thus slower to respond are among the top reasons.

Any hop your connection takes between the gateway and, your destination server might also be running slow at the time and, there can be as many as 30 of those which Exede nor you have any say or control over.

Exede does not throttle you down until you exceed your data allotment for the month.

It doesnt matter whether i have data left or not. Exede is completely useless in the evening. "the connection was reset" is the message I get all the time

Your slow speeds during the evening are most likely due to very high network traffic in your beam. There is little that can be done about that until the new satellite is launched and commissioned. That is schedule to happen in less than a year.

I never reach my data allowance; service is still slow. It is sporadic for us. I made a phone call to Exede yesterday, it helped today. Now we have an email and phone number.
