Hi Roger,
Did the field tech change your contract during the install? Is he the guy who made you sign the electronic signature?

When your ordered the Exede or Viasat install, was it the sales person that changed the contract.

What where the issues for locking you into a contract, was the dish installed on your home? Help me out here so I know how to report the unethical business details. Let me know what you ordered for satellite service so I can help you out.

The Field Tech never had me type or authorize an Electronic signature.  He must have done it himself.  Also your Sales people told me untruths that I explained in another email.  I was also told that I Florida ANY contract could be cancel within 3 day, for which I called and cancel within 20 hours of the install.  The internet was installed in a rain storm.  The installer said that because of the weather that the internet would be faster the next day with clear skies!!  A LIE!!  I was also told that my cable speed of 55bps was being shared by all my neighbors, which would give me a slower speed than I would get with my OWN satellite!  ANOTHER LIE!  I'm NOT a TECHIE, so I believed the Sales Rep!

Roger you knew there was a 2 year contract without a trial period before your service started.

No I didn't!  I never got that Welcome Letter until the day after the install and I never was told that I was STUCK with a product that I am NOT SATISFIED with!

For me there was only a 1 year commitment, but I'm way past that now.  Exede has always been fair to me, and I've never felt like I was getting cheated or scammed.  I can still remember using a air modem from a cell provider and paying the same price I am now and only getting 5 gig's with no free zone and way way slower speeds.  I still have a old Wildblue plan that comes with 27 gigs a month, so until there's a better package, or the phone company bridges the 1/4 mile gap to the central office on the corner to our neighborhood I'm sticking with Exede.

It sounds like if the tec installed it in the rain storm someone was being reasonable, Call the installation teck back they will get the best speeds. But I think you just had buyers remorse. I have been more than happy but some people you can't please.

I had faster service with Cable and Exede misrepresented the speed and service that they have!

I had an issue one time when my just renewed 15 gig data allotment disappeared  over night. They said I used it all up, I said no way. I stuck to my guns and they finally relented and gave me a "one time" adjustment. My point is, although it took some serious strong negotiation I was able to work with them satisfactorily.
