Exede are crooks, after finally coming to some agreebable solution to disconnect the service, now Exede is claiming they didn't receive all the equipment in their return box we shipped back to them. The best part is I had read so many complaints about Exede, and one of the many complaints is the issue of Exede sending customers to collections, I read these complaints luckily before I sent their equipment back, and to assure I wouldn't have any problems just in case, I took pictures of me placing the equipment in the return box at the UPS drop off facility, luckily with the UPS agent helping me, with the sealing the equipment, and so happens with my luck, I ended being one of those victims, from Exede false claims of not receiving their modem. After the numerous problems I had with this company, the last thing I needed was to receive a false claim of not sending the modem, to me this is the most expensive paper weight which is probably worthless by itself I I would of kept, which I didn't. After speaking to Christy at Exede corporate and her playing it off like I would be a suspect in stealing this worthless piece of equipment, I am going to the FCC and the president of Directv which I been directly in contact, since they were the ones responsible in referring me to Exede satellite service which Directv admits their sales rep misled us to Exede, this just another reason for me to explain to Directv and FCC with proof of Exede intentionally trying to rip us off, with pictures and statement from the UPS agent, from the drop off facility, which luckily I know from all my Ebay dealings and UPS shipping stating Exede false claims it didn't receive the modem. With that said, if any of you reading this blog, use extreme caution when returning any equipment back to Exede, this company unfortunately are very deceiving and are crooks!!

Yea, my mother-in-law had the same problem with Exede back in 2014 when her contract was over & she sent the equipment back. She read Ripoff Report's laundry list of issues with returning Exede's equipment. Luckily, like you, she recorded video of packaging the material (she did it at the UPS store), had the weight recorded with all equipment in the box, recorded the UPS clerk (very nice fella) confirming everything was in the box, and video of the package being taped closed.

And 3 weeks later, Exede contacts her letting her know they didn't receive all the equipment & would be taking her to collections. So she posted the video on Youtube, called Exede & let them know she had evidence all material was returned. It took her 7 or 8 additional calls up the "chain of command" before Exede finally got their stuff together & acknowledged they indeed recieved all the equipment back. Their excuse - "a clerical error in receiving".

Funny thing is that after she posted the video on youtube, Exede tried to get it taken down by filing an DMCA "Copyright" complaint against her Youtube channel - which only had the 1 video of her packaging the equipment & a bit at the end telling others to be cautious when dealing with Exede. The video got over 8,000 views, so I guess that's why Exede filed a false Copyright claim. This company has some VERY shady business practices.

Hello Nancy,

I'm quite concerned with the things being said on here. If you sent the equipment to us we can contact our warehouse to see if they can track that piece of equipment down in our inventory to make sure it's been received. Sometimes it takes a bit to go into our system and be marked as returned. It's a big warehouse/big company these things sometimes unfortunately can happen. I can't get that information from you or to you on this forum. If you truly want help from us to get this sorted out please email us at exedelistens@viasat.com. we'll be more than happy to assist you
