i am trying to activate my Excede voice service. I put in the number starting with a 4 that I found on my shipping label and my last name and I am getting invalid account.

If you can get to your account info at the "account.viasat.com" click the "Billing and Payment" tab. There will an account number there that does not start with a "4" but maybe starts with a "3" and you should try that number to activate your phone.
It worked for me a couple years ago. It used to show both numbers, including the one that starts with a "4" but that was incorrect, the one that starts with the "3" worked.
