Email Problems When Using STARTTLS-Secure Websites Not Loading Consistently

I have been having problems with Thunderbird email client on OS X when I try to use SSL security. Messages appear to download but they never show up. I work at an ISP and we've dealt with some of our customers with the same phenomenon. If you turn SSL off everything works. I'm also having intermittent trouble loading secure sites like Facebook and payment sites for my utilities. Sometimes only half the page loads.

See https://community.exede.com/exede/topics/corruption-on-upstream-tcp-data-and-retries-failure-of-http...

It's been hitting many going back to Christmas.

P.S. I just hit one of the SSL errors responding to this post. Come to think of it I'm seeing that regularly on this site when responding to new posts - I was starting to think it was Everett causing this.

P.P.S. And by new posts I really meant recent, really recent... within 40 seconds or so. Still suggesting to me that there are issues in Accelenet client/server land.

Lab Rescuer - And I was suspicious of you trying to kick me off our beam so you could have more bandwidth for yourself.  Last couple of days when I tried to post here, I hit the submit button and nothing happens, but a red bar appears at the top of my browser window.  Hit submit a 2nd or 3rd time and it works.  I was getting paranoid that my text was getting rejected because of some word or phrasing in it.  But then when I see some of the posts that do make it, I said that couldn't be it.

I get those submit errors too, JEP - often times resulting in double posts ( and I then removed the duplicates). I'm considering going over to my bank's site and see if I can finagle a few double deposits - not really, afraid to go near it at this point.

Even paranoid about VPN at this time despite no problems so far - so off to the library to do some mass uploads so I don't destroy a database.

The original post here has all the earmarks of this same issue - differences in appearance probably attributable to OSX.

Hello Billing Clerk, this is the first I am hearing of this specific issue but I'll definitely look into it and see if I can find anything. If you could also send me your info to exedelistens@viasat.com, I'd like to check to make sure everything is in order there first. Thanks.
