I work from home for a real telecom company and I constantly get dropped.  Five times today, and once was when I had exceded my usage, but it dropped me 3 times after I had purchased additonal bandwidth.  I find this strange, because during all the bad weather, it seem to hold up better than my Direct TV and today was clear skies.  It also drops sometimes around the same time in the morning, but not every single morning.  I was told I would need to reboot both my PC and routers on a weekly basis, which I find annoying, but I do it anyway.   I would not recommend Exede to anyone I know.

Hello Robvnn, its’ very alarming to hear you have to reboot so often. You should not have to reboot your modem on a daily basis to receive suburb service. There may be an internal issue with your modem that needs to be serviced. I would be more than happy to look at your account and see what we can do. Please send your account and contact information to exedelistens@viasat.com. Thank you for your patience.

We were having a similar problem and they sent someone out today to check it out. Turns out that the guys who moved our dish last year did not seal the splice in the line and moisture got in and shorted out. They replaced the line, wrapped it up well with electric tape and reburied the line.  It went completely out with our recent deluge of rain. Hope this helps someone....oh, they only charged me 30.00 instead of the usual 100.00 which was a blessing for this retired couple.

I really wish they would have some kind of yearly warranty like Dish does for their equipment. If the Sat. or modem goes out by "an act of God", it costs big $$$!! Thankfully this was not an issue this time.
