Does the data extender slow overall speed?

It seems my overall speed of my computer has slowed since the new data extender has been put on my account.

Just download speed on the device when you are streaming. It can’t slow the actual device itself. The speed limit s still “fast enough” to stream without buffer (usually). It just can’t be delivered at a higher rate than 480 or 720 ( whatever your plan specifies).

mine too so i tuned it off, and all went back to normal.

Yeah the data extender is sort of a way to make streaming not cause as much data usage damage. Glad to see things went to normal after toggling it off.
