Can anyone at Exede be helpful? Impossible to get ahold of anyone online or by skype call if you are out of the country. I can't push buttons on Skype call and you just hang-up instead of automatically connecting to support. Why not have online chat help? My data usage is not correct. Nobody has even been at the property to use all the data in two weeks time yet I am out again. I think your system is broken or fraudulent. I want an email back to me at jaronwinston@gmail.com and not my Exede email which is never used and unhelpful. Your support stinks.

Going away for 2 weeks?  Next time unplug the Sat. modem.  Check usage again when you return.  If data has been used Exede can check logs to see what happened.

I agree with your suspicion that their data meter is wrong.  Happened to me last year about this time and AGAIN just about 2-weeks ago.  Email told me I had used up 70% or more of my data in just 7-days.  Then a week later, I checked and now it was showing only 40% used, which would be the average amount I would use for 2-weeks.  There is definitely something wrong with their system, but you can't convince them.

Your system continues to say I do not have the correct user name or password. I call Exede and they rest my password which does not work. I also got a message I am at 70% usage and my acct. just rolled around again I week ago. I am very frustrated with your online access which does not work correctly. Also, I believe your meters are wrong. I want a tech to go to my house to check your equipment. Jaron Winston

Just one thing for people to look at is you windows update settings. You might want to change the setting to check for updates but notify you before downloading. Microsoft sends out updates the 2nd Tues of every month and that could be part of what's causing you to have high data usage shortly after a reset of your plan. That's one thing that you would want to do on the LNFZ.

Good reminder.

I suspect many have been burned by that Windows update setting and perhaps with multiple computers further exacerbating the problem.

I frequently see comments that "I've got Windows Update scheduled to download and install at 2:00 AM."

There's no way to schedule downloads unless familiar with the Windows Update API, programming it or using a 3rd party utility..

That setting specifically says install at x:xxx and nothing about downloading - downloading occurs at Windows leisure with that setting and as you say the correct one for those on limited plans is:

Check for updates and let me choose when to download and install

It's also good to delve into how automatic updates with Office 365 occur.
