Yes, all modems and routers support Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
DHCP is a client/server protocol that automatically provides an Internet Protocol address (IP) host with its IP address and other related configuration information such as the subnet mask and default gateway.

So basically your devise (laptop/tablet/phone/etc.) connects to your modem asking for a an Internet Protocol address (IP) and the modem supplies your devise with it's own IP address and other related configuration information for commutation with the modem, such as a subnet mask and default gateway.

Hi Mike, as Jakster Jammin answered, the router does support DHCP.  If you any additional questions or concerns, please send an email to exedelistens@viasat.com with your account and contact information. Have a great day.
