Data usage reset to 0.0 prior to 1st of the month?

At 11:48 pm est, I checked my data usage and it shows 0.0, 0% used of 10 gb allowance, 0 days remaining in the current period.

I do not know when it actually clicked over to the 0.0, as I was in the 8+ range earlier this day.  What concerns me is that any usage that is occurring after this reset on 2/29 is being applied to the month of March.

I basically have to limit my data usage to 0.3 gb per day in order to get by on 10 gb/month, so I don't want have Exede be applying data used in February to my March account.

Please assure me this is not the case.

This used to be a normal occurrence - the usage meter display itself would actually reset to zero at 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM eastern time (depended on whether standard or daylight savings) but was corrected to be closer to midnight a while back. Check this AM to see if it has been actually reset and usage started accumulating at the end of your free zone - to accommodate Liberty Plans which don't have free zones I suspect further changes have been to synchronize both the display and the actual usage counter across multiple servers. Past experience showed that the actual counter itself was accurate, but the display remained at zero until refreshed at the appropriate time.
