How can I figure out how I am using my data. You showed that I used my 10 GB use of data in one day on my samsung so I disabled the wi-fi on the samsung phone you gave me a once in a lifetime extra 5 GB of data and it got used up in one day when we have not been using the internet. If you look at our history we have only used up our data once or twice since we signed up with excede and then only after using the internet over a 3 week period, never in one day. what gives?

First, EVERYTHING you do online, be that email, reading a forum, viewing pictures, watching videos, listening to radio, using On Demand on a Television receiver, Netflix, Hulu, updating software, etc... uses your data.

Second, if you send an email to with your account information and, ask for a detail of your usage, they can tell you what the data was used for, on what days and, the most likely device to have used that data.

I have an ASUS wireless router that  has very good traffic monitoring included. It monitors all dat going to and from the Exede Surfbeam2 modem, and shows usage by device and the applications used by each device, with data used.

If you have a wireless router with a good traffic monitoring, you can see exactly what device is using your data, and when it occurred. If you have the new Exede WiFi modem, this information does not seem to be available to the subscriber, and then you will need to do as Bev suggested and send the email to the moderators.
