Thanks Exede, for helping me find a new hobby.  I now work crossword puzzles while web pages load.

Check your usage as well, many are finding phantom usage while speeds very low. I feel your pain

I make it a habit of checking my useage every day that has a mathematical of 3.  Today being the 3rd of June and it checked out as 6.8.  Oddly enough that is lower than when I checked it out on the 30th of May it was 8.1.  My data plan resets on the 20th.  Being a retired IT software programmer it would be interesting to get into a discussion as to where this information is calculated and where does the RAW data originate from - for example the gateway, viasat modem, and/or both (Other?).  We have lived with being on Liberty pass almost every, the last 12 months, month.  Honestly we rarely slowed down to a point where I can find enoguh time to work a crossword puzzle.  Finnaly Viasat 2 has launched.  I know it'll be mid to late fall (2017) before we see what new plan offerings will be available.  Keeping in mind that this technology is realtively new and will continue to evolve.  VIASAT - keep on pushing the envelope (THANKS).

I keep my internet connection speed limited to 0.15 Mbps (about 3X dial up) for everyday internet browsing and I never have the problems that these people say they have.  Further, the usage as shown by Exede has always agreed with that as shown by the windows network status box, so I don't know how these people come up with "phantom usage."

My speed limited internet connection has come in very handy in preventing websites from burning up my data and it is also looking like it helps in preventing malware from infecting my computer:

Doing crosswords on a regular basis keeps you sharp.  You've got to find the silver lining in every situation.  LOL.
