I've been hitting my 15 GB bandwidth allocation within a very short period of time the last couple months. I started watching my traffic between my router and the Exede modem and I know why. Congestion on my beam is causing many TCP Retransmits. This is causing my systems and the sites/services I'm using to continually send the same packet over and over. I'm also seeing duplicate packets because of the congestion.
In my tests a 500 MB file was actually consuming 1 GB and sometimes more to fully upload or download.
Just sent an e-mail to: exedelistens@viasat.com but I'm thinking they are going to tell me I'm out of luck just like support does.
Support had the balls to offer me a $25 voucher for my trouble but thats all they could do.
My credit card on file is expired and I will not be updating my payment information until I get my issue resolved.

If you are on the newest iOS, the problem with unread emails, marking them read, and them coming back showing unread is actually a known issue with iOS. We have quite a few clients that get this problem on a frequent(ish) basis. The fix is usually to delete the mail account from the device and add it back. Sometimes it comes and goes, sometimes we have to redo the account.
It may or may not be the connection dropping in and out in your case, but in the cases we have seen the devices were using FIOS or Cable and still having the same problem.
I hope they get you squared away either way.
