Wait until all beams are active on Viasat-2 satellite...they say this coming week....Tuesday or later.

Do not get installed on Viasat-1 satellite.

RE: "Why would you tell someone that Jab?"

His location would use Beam 321, which is in the Baltimore-Columbia-Towson, MD Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Washington-Baltimore-Arlington, DC-MD-VA-WV-PA Combined Statistical Area

As Rique noted two weeks ago, "I was advised that our beam (321) is "saturated"

RE: " I said strange"

When a person says "I know this sounds like a broken record but speeds will improve for everyone when the new satellite takes some load off of VS1," and also says, "VS1 is a great place to be," I find this strange.

On beam 321, once aircraft are re-assigned to VS-2, there will be more bandwidth available on VS-1, but its doubtful VS-1's bandwidth will be equal or greater than VS-2's then, only a Viasat engineer would know.  My understanding, until all beams are operational, aircraft will not be transferred over, according to Dankberg.

Additionally, the "Afterburner" modem has reserve capacity, which SB or SB+ does not have.

Barry - I agree with this advice.  Wait until VS-2 is available in your area.  By the way, I grew up in Carroll County - went to SCHS.
