There is a toggle for the video data extender on my account management dashboard.
It will not allow me to turn this feature off.
My browsers are the new Viasat browser, Google Chrome, and Firefox.
How do I disable this feature as I never download streaming data.
Thanks.

It should turn off when you click on it.  It may tale a few seconds to switch off.
If you don't stream then this will not affect you even if it is on.

If my system behaved according to your response, I would not have posed the question. There would have been no need to ask for suggestions as to why it does not work according to design.
But thanks for your help!

If you never download streaming data, what difference does it make if it is on?

One other point,
I resist updating any of my browsers in order to save data.
I update only as a last resort if I suspect problems.
Since I normally do not use IE, I have not updated it in at least 5 years.

This could be why it's not working with them.

Updating browsers also fixes new security issues.  It's generally not a good idea to not update your browser.

One could just as easily conclude the opposite.
Perhaps IE worked in this case precisely because it was not updated.
My other browsers have all been updated within the last 6 months.

MEM, just a dumb question, but are you clicking on the white circle to the right of the green ON icon?  I just toggled mine back ON (green icon) to back OFF and no problems.

Yes, I have been clicking on the white circle where the cursor turns into a hand.
Now that I have used IE to make this toggle work properly, my Viasat browser also works as it should.

Just a stab in the dark here but if you are on a plan like Bronze (360p), wouldn't that make the data ext a non-functional switch because it is predetermined?

Thanks for responding, Andy.
I am on the Liberty 12 plan.
The toggle switch for the video extender is colored green. It is not grayed out.
I have tried removing ad blockers and switching Java on/off to no avail.

On that plan you most certainly should be able to switch it off.

Try a different browser as others have suggested. I find the bare bones Firefox install more reliable than any other browser when wondering if a browser is causing the problems

Have you tried installing the Viasat app on your phone? It gives you the ability to turn the data saver on/off without using a computer.

That's how I do it and it is super easy.

Stephen,  Thank you for suggesting the Mobile App. It is making it easier for our customers to access their account.

Here is the link to install it and the features available;https://help.viasat.com/internet/articles/General/Introducing-the-Viasat-Internet-Mobile-App

The video Data Extender is only available on Non Unlimited plans, such as Freedom, Liberty and Classic plans.
