Switch to Yahoo or Gmail. That is your best long-term solution.

I am getting that same message today. I have been very frustrated with ViaSat/Exede ever since I upgraded my plan. Slow speeds and I keep losing satellite and now I can not access something as simple as my email. With my taxes and other fees I am now paying over $170 per month for a lousy plan and even worse support.

Everything seems to be outsourced at Viasat. For a tech/isp it sure does outsource a ton of stuff that every other ISP keeps in house. The salesforce interface for account page and such is jut a sorry mess that viasat pays way to much for.

Just had a very long conversation with support, after a lot of searching on her end she finally found out that the email server is down. She said it should be back up in 2 - 3 hours. Lets cross our fingers, maybe they will get it fixed. I had the same exact issues 9 months ago when the email server crashed.
As far as my really slow speeds (around 3.70 upload), they haven't been able to figure that out. They keep saying that it might be congested during busy hours but I am on unlimited and very seldom ever use over 25GB each month. My slow speeds are 24/7 and the only things that are connected to it are my laptop and my android phone, nothing else. So there should not be any problems on my side, it is all them, with no satisfactory results.

Only a matter of time before it will fail again.  I keep recommending the best thing to do, because it is the only good, long-term fix for the problem.  Transition to a reliable email provider such as Gmail or Yahoo, and your email problems will go away.

For people that say, I don't want to switch, I ask you, do you plan on being with Viasat Internet for the rest of your life?  Once you change internet providers and move on from Viasat, your Viasat email address will no longer work anyhow.  Transition to an independent email that you can have for life!

Not only you lose your email address, you lose all those emails you have in storage unless you are using an email client like Outlook, etc.

True. I use Thunderbird. Invaluable. I have gone back to look for emails from 5 years ago (usually lost registration keys...lol).
