I currently have Liberty 25 which I understand means that I will receive 'up to' speeds of 25 mbps download. As I write this my speed is 17. The new satellite plans, according to a chat person today will offer 25, 50, or 100; all unlimited. So does that mean I will get speeds 'up to' 25, 50 or 100, depending on plan I choose? Say I choose the 100 plan, would it still be possible that I end up some days with a speed of 17? Seems not worth it if that is the case.

If you are okay with not being able to watch video from 5pm to midnight, then there is nothing wrong with a Liberty plan.
I have a Liberty plan, and I use special software to download from 3 am to 6 am. My plan doesn't use any priority data for downloads that take place during those hours. It works great for me, but what I do is a bit technical.
If you don't want to do all the fancy technical stuff, and still want to watch video at night, then Unlimited Silver or Gold is what you need. The Bronze plan would work too, but the video quality wouldn't be very good.
Hopefully what I said made sense and didn't make things even more confusing.
