Bought 5 gigs yesterday and they are already gone

I've never seen data chewed up they way it is with this service. I've only had this service since Jan 1 of this year. I previously had HughesNet and only had 10 gigs and never used them up. Since Jan 1 I am at 17 gigs usage. Had to purchase 5 more yesterday and they are gone. Bought 5 more just now. We are not doing anything different than we always have. What a bunch of crooks!

Please understand that data can be consumed very quickly if not watched carefully. A lot of data can be used just from updates along with video. Hi Laura,  Must be something going on that you aren't aware of; I have an exede classic plan with only 10Gb allowance per month. and never go I can vouch for the fact that exede doesn't have to use up that much...depends on what you are doing..

With my plan I have the late night free zone, and only stream during those hrs...don't watch videos except during LNFZ, etc..Set up everything to not update outside of LNFZ.

I also have a flashblocker which saves lots of data, by preventing videos from autoplaying.

I think I have heard that when you first sign up, an extra amount of data can wind up being used as any devices you connect may do a lot of setting up/updates, etc....

And if you have windows 10 you need to watch your settings to keep a lot of data from being used unnecessarily.

I also switched to Exede from a Hughes net plan (that was 2.5 yrs ago)...but I didn't experience any comparative problems such as you are having.
