Incredibly poor customer service, the technician that came to our site has no idea what he is doing. Now I have to pay money to move the dish.
Company refuses to make the situation right.

THIS COMPANY SUCKS & ARE DECEITFUL! Maybe the "loyal/ proud" customers still live in the circa early 2000s, but this internet service sucks beyond comparison, well besides to dial-up. Literally feels like I should be listening to AOL dial-up to be loading as I wait to get on my instant messenger, while on my white box screen computer (with floppy disk insert) HAHA!

Look into a hotspot, way better service. I know it can be pricey as well but with these prices you can get better. Although you're stuck in the contract, in the end it'll be less headaches to just break it.

Maybe the "loyal/ proud" customers still live in the circa early 2000s, but this internet service sucks beyond comparison, well besides to dial-up. 
Perhaps you shouldn't assume that your experience is everyone's experience, nor mock people who are just fine with the service they get.  

And if you think speeds of upwards of 50Mbps or more, as well as two way communications, was the norm for rural users in the early 2000s, I would love to know just what service you had, as no one else living in a rural area could get it.

Nah Steve, you were just supposed to sit on that "unusable" Freedom plan and just continue paying for it ;)  My guess is you're probably paying the same amount with the big difference being it's actually usable now.

I am paying the same amount, $100 per month.

In my life, there have been many changes that have come along. one can resist change, or try to adjust.

different service (as in HughesNet),
someone should service. 
Day service,
night service,
during which the speed shouldn't be so slight service.  

It didn't come across well.

If the plan became unusable, you were forced to change. I mean it is as simple as that.

I am glad you are pleased. Viasat is pleased too.

Sounds like a win/win to me.
