When throttled I lose the ability to download, to open FTP access and to send email.  I want to make sure it is not Exede before I start messing with my firewall.

Hello FMW, I can definitely look at your services for you to see what is going on. Please send in an email with your account information to exedelistens@viasat.com.

I called and talked to a couple of nincompoops who don't know much about computers.  Unfortunately, they turned back on the high speed against my instructions so I can't test anything until I get throttled again and that will take a couple of weeks.  Thanks for your willingness to help but I'm delayed for a while before I can work on the problem again.

ok here we go  name calling. Now if you are able to call some on a nincompoop about the knowledge of a computer, then why did you call and ask if you knew the answer?

I don't know the answer.  I'm still trying to determine it.  I called them nincompoops because they are.  You always have a problem with the truth?

If it really bothers you that much that they turned your speed back up, perhaps you can request Kimberly or Amber to remove bandwidth from your account and give to to someone else so you can be throttled again and they can figure out the problem.

^^^ Above comment meant to be read tongue-in-cheek ^^^

Best way to tell if it is your firewall or not is to plug your system directly into the Viasaat modem and see if you still have problems.  That bypasses your firewall completely and gives you a real idea of how your system is performing.

Hope this helps.
