I want to know how I used 30% of my data in 24 hrs. I got an email yesterday saying I was at 70% today I got one saying I was locked. Also several months ago I had an issue with usage and they issued me I think it was 4 resets of which I have used 1. Can I use another one now.

Marie Sears, I believe that the issue is with excede. I have uses 2.2GB of my data and today is the first day on my cycle, and no one was home all day, and my router is password protected. This isnt the first time that I have had this issue with excede. I also know several people who have had this issue with excede.

Try using the newly released My eSVT tool detailed at:

https://community.exede.com/exede/topics/give-our-new-usage-tool-a-test-drive

Since it provides some minimal data usage history, It may provide some insight as to where your data went (or may indicate another problem that requires being addressed).

Perhaps it's coincidental but data usage spikes/complaints seem to spike just about the time Microsoft decides to release new versions of the Windows 10 upgrade. Note that this occurs on Windows 7 and 8.1 as they attempt to aggressively push everyone to Windows 10 and preload/download the files hoping you'll install it (and has been going on for nearly the past year). There are ways to stop it but first you need to determine where the data is going (or whether you have an install problem that needs to be addressed). Windows 10 also has its own set of data usage issues.

Which is why I said perhaps it's coincidental...

As noted, check out the new My eSVT usage tool it may provide some insight as to where or what is causing data to be used. Once that's determined, suggestions can be made; however, targeted suggestions require knowing something about you specific environment - everybody's is different. While I can offer suggestions about Windows, those will do you very little good if your running a different operating system (or even version). And don't be to confident that the automatic updates setting has any impact if you've already downloaded and installed the Get Windows 10 application on Windows 7 or 8.1... again assuming you're running Windows (but in  truth I really don't know and am just guessing and it's really unproductive to offer suggestions that may not apply).

I liked exede in the  beginning, seems like after you are with them for a while they sneak in extra usage. I would switch to a lower plan but there is no free time. I am not getting my moneys worth. I would try to talk people out of getting excede. They have said there is a limit on usage but the reason is BULL! To have to do all your work during "FreeTime" is unacceptable. So fed up with it!!!!

Susan, what you are experiencing isn't Exede 'sneaking in extra usage", but the fact that the websites are using more and more data as time goes on. Website designers are always adding more and more widgets, thus it takes more data to view the pages.
