i have had the most horrible experience with viasat since i was forced to sign a new contract when i built a house right next door to my previous service (which i had for 5 years) and was not under contract, anyway forced to sign new contract and change my current plan which was unlimited 150 gb plan and was getting good service, now speeds are super slow I have the bronze plan because the plans are now so much more expensive and download speeds at 0.25, called customer service several times and several service calls later still not fixed and super slow, i just want to get out of this contract that i never should have signed this is the most horrible internet i have ever had and worst customer experience with ANY company ever......i will not recommend this service to anyone. The most glaring and blindingly obvious information I've gleaned from this forum has been,
NEVER CHANGE A THING.

we didnt have a choice we moved and got forced into another contract after being a customer for 5 years then after moving only 300 ft, literally in my front yard of previous home, i was told my plan was no longer available....how can this be!!! i almost wonder if i could have left equipment at other home and still picked up the signal!!! this is crazy and now i cant even hardly connect, customer service for this company is a joke!!! currently looking for other internet options and looking to pay disconnect since they will not let us out of contract for this crappy service!!! beyond ridiculous~!! ugh

Sounds right. When you move, no matter how dar, they require you to take a plan that is available. If your old plan was grandfathered, it is no longer available.

As far as moving and not providing a new address, only if you could find a dealer who could have done it and NOT reported the move. Of course we have learned on here, that is not technically legal either.
