What does the "worst ever" mean? Too slow? Too fast? No connection? You dropped your ice cream cone? C'mon folks, if you are going to complain, make it meaningful. If you expect a reply, provide enough information to make us understand what your problem is. Where are you located? It makes no sense to report service problems without indicating where you are located so that others who may be in a similar situation can respond. I recommend that when you call customer service and speak to an individual who was helpful or not helpful, get his or her name and post it along with your message so that we know who is responsive and who is not. If you speak to an installer or someone in billing and you are not happy with the transaction, get their names and post them, along with your location. Otherwise, what do you expect the rest of us to think when you say, "worst ever."

Hmm is it 24 kbps MAX speed on a dry day, if the neighbors on your party line are not talking on the phone dial up? No. Is it Cellular that allows only 10 GB per month then bills you 20.00 per GB after that w/o telling you that you have used more than 10 GB? No. Is it no internet at all? No.

I've had all of those situations and, while Excede is not unlimited, screaming fast DSL, it certainly isn't the worst option either and, for many customers, it's this or unusable dial up or cell that's way more expensive if we use the same amount of data we do on Exede.

Sure, if you can get DSL, you don't want satellite but if dial up or even more severely metered cellular data for your computer (cell is often unlimited but only on the phone itself) is all you can get besides Excede (or HughesNet) then Satellite is a better option for internet access form home.

my only complaint is that I can NOT get my I Pad's to set up e mail no matter how many times I call customer service and ask questions, they tell me It is not wildlbue, that I should be able to set up e mail on them. I printed out the step by step instructions, does NOT WORK ~~ BUT ~~ it might work for a day or two then kicks out the e mail telling me It is the incorrect user name and password!! HELLO!! we only have oneĀ  mail address and pass word, guess it is your unstable ISP addresses!! No I am not calling Apple ~ new I pads and the email on both of them did work once upon a time, sick of that problem!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you double checked the ports and server names since wildblue/excede email was moved to a new server/service?

Our iPad was being weird until I got the incoming and outgoing IMAP servers right and, set my ports.

Also if you are doing POP3 try going with IMAP setup instead, might work for you.

thanks, I am using IMAP and have written down the port #'s that Wildblue said to use. All was working fine until we changed the password on our computer of which I changed on all the I Pads too, desk top computer works like a dream, but the I pads will not, aggravating. I have the directions printed out from the Wildblue site, actually talked to a level 2 Wildblue Tech, she put our password into their system, just does not want to work, all my updates for the I pads are current too, Sad.
