Problems with service

Il be glad when my 2 yrs is up with this internet, july 2016 cant come soon enough!!! I got tired of calling every weekend (as thats the only time i can get on my cpu), and couldnt even skype with my daughter in college 600 miles away! For what they charge???? And when I placed my order, I asked if wifi was included,,,,,, yea afterward I was told no it wasnt, I had to get the router and what ever else was needed! HORRIBLE INTERNET!!!!!!!

I constantly lose service and all i was getting told was its our busy time!, I also had technicians here i think it was 3 times already??? My speed is very very very slow, did all the required speed tests etc only to be told ur service is good on our end!!!! What a joke, my contract will end in the 2 years!!!!

I get the frustration truly...but the internet is not horrible. Yea some times it ends up really slow..I actually called phone support last night because my speeds are down to 4mb down and 2 up. The call lasted an hour because they have to go through all the trouble shooting steps before they can escalate it. Your better option is to send an email to exedelistens@viasat.com with your account and contact information and reference this post. In the subject like put your name that you have here to make sure they can time the email to this post/you. They will do some trouble shooting but they can get things fixes way better then phone support.

Only reason I called phone support was because of how late it was and I new the social media team wasn't in the office that late.

When my contract is up I am going back to Hughes net they may be a little higher but better internet and data usage this was the worse decision i ever made also. I would not recommend Exede or wildblue to any body.

Dana, I'm sorry you've had such a bad experience. You should definitely be able to Skype, many of our customers do so quite frequently. I'd like to troubleshoot with you and get everything working as it should. As Knight Rider mention, please reach out to me at exedelistens@viasat.com with your account and contact information. I have called every weekend for at least 2 months..... a tech was sent out twice, and i got tired of calling. When the tests were done, at this point, i cant remember what i had to type in for it, every time, it was way under what the number should have been. And i also called about removing ur virus protection..... and I am not able to uninstall it! this service is a jokeand i have already told many ppl not to get it!  Pics do not show, loading is very slow, I show no internet very frequently.

They sucher you in by all plans are the same that's why i switch from hughesnet. if i was paying hughesnet 89.99 with 10 g of data Exede has that same plan for 49.99 With 10 g of data. I though i was getting faster internet for less than what i was paying for hughesnet but the difference is with hughesnet the higher your plan your internet is faster or better and data last longer . I never went over my 10 g of data with hughesnet. I go over it ever month with Exede and i never look at any movies or dowload any song. You can get higher data compacity but the same slow speed With all there plans. And i end up having to upgrade my data and i end up paying 89.99 anyway I could have stayed with hughesnet.

I am a certified tech for both exede and huhesnet. There is NO aspect of hughesnet that is superior to exede. None....no way around it.... none. Hughesnet and exede......the problem is people expect satellite internet to act like cable... comparing apples to oranges. ..not even in the same solar system as far as products.

When people are properly explained the service and a proper install is completed, customers are happy...... the trend i see are salesmen that lie or omit the truth to get you to sign up.....and cjstomers not doing there due dilligence and verifying what they are being told. Look.... viasat, exede needs to make money....angry customers do not make money..... exede does not like it either....but in my opinion any sales person that lies to get customers to sign up, need to have legal action brought against them. This is the number one complaint..... well the salemsperson said blah blah blah.....and the salesmen said blah blah....change the way sales persons are paid.....any one you speak to that makes there living off of comission..... why woukd you trust a single word..... there family eats when you sign up....any lerson who works on commision does not care about you, your family, or whats fair..... car dealerships.....bill collectors.....lawyers..... will tell you anything to get you to sign up.....my 2 cents

Don't kid yourself. I was with Hughesnet for years. I started with them back when it was called directway. Their speeds and service sucked.  I can't count the times my speeds got slower than dial-up and would stay that way for days but hughes didn't care. Their reply was always "we don't guarantee speeds" . I can also remember the time with them that I could no longer access my bank account, I called Hughes and they said "ooh your equipment is no longer compatible with our system and you must pay to have new equipment shipped and installed. Wow, nice company. Thank goodness for Exede.
