Within the past 2-3 weeks, I have been receiving unsolicited e-mail that is pornographic in nature. How can I stop this?

Hello Julia,

Some helpful steps to follow for an alternative method for blocking spam from coming into your email would be:

Click on the Preferences tab.

Click on Mail on the left side.

Scroll all the way down to Spam Mail Options.

You now have the option to Block Messages From or Allow messages from

Click Save and Refresh your screen

Here is a link to the Zimbra website support tutorial page to assist with targeting these types of emails so they don’t re-appear again and get recognized as spam. We are working with our engineers to find out better resolutions to configure these email blocks.

You may want to try another email account such as google or yahoo which actually may have a better spam block then Zimbra may have concerning your emails. If you have any further questions or concerns please give us a call at 866.945.3258

I am in the process of switching to Gmail. Lately I too have been getting way too many spam and requests from those exotic foreign ladies. Changing is a painful process, but Gmail is much better with filtering spam, which the current Exede provider has no spam filtering ability at all.

It is actually smarter to not have your primary email with your ISP, since if you ever change internet providers you will lose all your emails unless you use a third party program like Thunderbird or Outlook.

That is so true--about losing mail. When I went from Wildblue internet through DirecTV I lost all my mail. No big deal because main email is Gmail. Now I signed up with Exede directly I just use Wildble email for those sites you have to give email address. Then once a week go in and delete it all. :-) .

Hele, that is a good way to use the Wildblue email account, that way you are less likely to be bombarded by those promotional and junk emails that sometimes come from those sites that sell your addy to everyone else.

But on a positive note, I'm going to make 48 billion dollars just by helping a former king from Nigeria move some money around! :p
