Depends upon a number of factors, including the compression/decompression (CODEC) engine is used by the AT&T VOIP service. See:

For all intents and purposes, just replace mobile data plan with satellite data plan in that article.

Don't bother, i have an iPhone 6 but, it can't use Exede, latency is too high for calls via WiFi. Sprint says a five minute call is about 16kb, so not a lot of data but, it doesn't work with high latency.
