The weather is going to be very hot (it is mid summer) and the media will hype this to the hilt since the Berry hype fizzled.

So stay indoors people. Stay hydrated. And stream all you want. At least you can Stephen with your vast library of content. Stream on!

I finally I am afraid, only temporarily cured what I think are congestion issues with Verizon Wireless. I had a 4 month honeymoon then 2 months of speeds slowing on evenings and weekends. If I got throttled on the last day (I have 15 GB for $38) and it was an evening or weekend I had speed at dial up or less.  Anyway a week or so ago I set the things on the signal strength page and tried to fit a new sweet spot. Lo and behold a move of 4 feet diagonally at the same height boosted the signal to noise ratio which appears to be the most important of the two signal numbers quite a bit.. The strange thing this location is in the middle of what used to be to equally good sweet spots that don't work well anymore. It seems the great location for the hotspot keeps changing, no idea why. I get as good as speed as ever during prime time now and the full 600 Kbps when throttled.

How is this in any way relative to Viasat?

It is relative for people who want to flee Viasat and don't have a magic beam like you do. Many of us have been sharing our experience after we left Viasat. You are the only person I have heard from in Central Va that likes Viasat. All the people I have talked to while running errands from Richmond to Stafford think it sucks.
