Doesn't anyone do research before signing a 2 year contract?
Like most people look into car features before buying one, but the internet? nah.

How can you research? There is no way to compare quantity of bad reviews with quantity of customers.. Couple of months ago I bought a new refrigerator. I compared reviews between many brands and discovered the mix of ratings was about the same for all brands. Price did not seem to make a difference. IF YOU END UP RATING SOMETHING A 4 or 5, consider yourself lucky.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark here and, guess it's about latency (ping) given the user name here. That is an unavoidable aspect of satellite internet, be it Viasat or the competitor(s) Our signal cannot exceed the speed of light and, it takes roughly 600 ms to complete the round trip required to provide us with internet at all.

In terms og gaming, that meas a 0.5 to 1.0 second lag, depending on your ping to the game server. Many games work well that way but, some do not. In general first person shooters fail and, in other games, you will want to play a ranged, non healer class for the best experience. There are a few games that are the exception or, in which healers and melee classes can be played successfully but, most of those are older games where the old engine itself provides a similar delay regardless of a player's ping.
