Yes. It's already showing up for some on a regional basis. Price may vary by region however it looks like the norm wil be $150 - check it out on viasat.com for Zip Code 80238.

Waiting to hear back from a user here who was among the first to have an install today requiring the new equipment - it is presumably on Viasat-2 and he indicated he had to agree to a new two year agreement.

The user who posted yesterday indicate yes as noted above - they've got to recover the install cost somehow and those installers aren't going to do it for free.  I dopn;t believe it would be covered under EasyCare but no definitive word on that.

I hope Viasat waits a while before they start moving people from congested beams to Viasat 2 for free.  I'd much rather see people pay money and take on new two year contracts with Viasat since I'm a shareholder.

Exactly.  We've got James on here who can't afford the Platinum plan, yet he is going nuts to hear about an install that happened earlier today.  You just can't find entertainment like this anywhere else.

Things probably went great and they are too busy watching 1080p Netflix to come here and complain.

If things went wrong, they would be on here threatening to contact the FBI.

This forum is a lot like watching pornography for some people.  You can look at Viasat 2 and fantasize, but you can't touch.

I could make it better by nagging about a 100Mbps plan... and that I want it to be synchronous, which just won't happen...

Those plans being offered on Viasat 2 do not look very appealing. I believe I'll be staying on my Freedom plan for the foreseeable future.

The Freedom plan is the best plan on Viasat, hands down.

No question. It might not be "unlimited" but offers a large amount of data.

150GB priority data, 1080p. As long as you stay 150GB or lower, it is not even close.
