If you haven't transitioned off Wildblue email you should. It is not reliable and prone to a lot of issues. Transition to something like Gmail or Yahoo mail. You will be much better off in the long run.

Hi Diana, thank you for reaching out
  • Try loading URL again by pressing F5

I performed all of these steps but no change in the problem.  It's the same story on three home computers, my smartphone and my work computer.  Have tried both Chrome and IE browsers.  My satellite equipment at home appears fully functional as does my other broadband connection.  I have reported this issue to technical support and was told it would take 3 to 5 days before someone could help me out.  Can you please escalate this issue up the flagpole?  Thanks very much, Glenn in Napa, CA

Apparently using my MS Outlook email client, I am able to successfully send a test email from my wildblue email account.  Diana, can you please review with me the settings I need to have for  mail.wildblue.net ?

For troubleshooting purposes, here is what the failure reply looks like when I try to send myself a test message:

From: Mail Delivery System <no-reply@exede.net>

Subject: Undeliverable: Mail Delivery Failure

Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:

xxxxxxx@wildblue.net
The server has tried to deliver this message, without success, and has stopped trying. Please try sending this message again. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk.

Diagnostic information for administrators:

Generating server: mx02.jasper.bos.sync.lan

xxxxxxx@wildblue.net

#< #5.4.7 smtp; 554 5.4.7 [internal] exceeded max retries without delivery> #SMTP#

Verify your settings are:
Incoming messages (POP3) is mail.wildblue.net
Outgoing mail (SMTP) is smtp.wildblue.net

The Outgoing mail server has check mark for "Server requires authentication" and "Log on using secure Password authentication" is unchecked.
Check mark for server requires a secure connection (SSL) for both incoming mail (SSL) POP3 port 995,  and outgoing mail SMTP port 465
