why is my gig useage higher this month?

we have just used our average useage this month but were at 70%useage already

Tough to say without any additional information, but some Windows 7 and 8.x users were nailed by a Microsoft "mistake" in marking the Windows 10 upgrade as an important update which may have been downloaded until they fixed it - it was about a 2.8 GB hit per machine - there was a small window of mis-opportunity for that.

Send an email to exedelistens@viasat.com along with your contact and account information and they should be able to provide a general categorized breakdown of usage while also eliminating the possibility that it was equipment related.

There's a few things that it could be. The best way to have us review it is by calling 855-463-9333 or by emailing exedelistens@viasat.com. Lately between IOS updates and Windows updates seemingly back-to-back a lot of folks are being somewhat taken by surprise by the data used for these updates.

I think I have found the problem. I found an article someone posted about Apple Icloud. Shut down everything dealing with the Apple iCloud program. It constantly uses data in the background without your knowledge. I closed everything down on our iPhones and our PCs and now we're back to normal usage, for now.....
