Why is everything buffeting now? Nothing used to buffer. Now everything, even at 3am

For the last several months video clips started buffering. That was never a problem before now. I used to brag to everyone that with Exede nothing ever buffered. Now everything ALWAYS buffers even in the free time?

If you haven't already, check your router.  We thought we were getting really slow speeds (unusable at times) and had tried rebooting everything and still a no go.  I got in touch with Exede Listens and was helped by Exede Brad and he  asked if I had tried bypassing the router which I hadn't.  When I did that my speeds jumped back up so the router was causing an issue.  He also double checked our account on Exede's end and nothing was showing up there so the problem was being caused by our router.  Once we resolved that issue things returned to "normal".  If you have already checked this you might want to email Exede Listens and have them look things over from their end.  Good Luck!

If you are talking about web based video, such as youtube buffering, and you are using Internet Explorer, try switching to Chrome or Firefox and see if you still have the issue.

I use Firefox already. I rarely watch YouTube. Mostly it's short clips on Facebook. Keep in mind the same type of clips didn't buffer previously.

Hello Michael,

Could you send me an email at exedelistens@viasat.com with your account information? I can take a look at your account and see if there's something on our end. It could also be the router as suggested or if you're talking about videos sometimes those do buffer and usually a few tips and tricks like changing browsers or closing running programs/apps/tabs can minimize that. If you send a quick email we can check everything on our end!

Just either your account number or the phone number tied to your account. We suggest the email because this is a public forum and we don't want your personal information visible
