Why can't Dish Network see that I am connected to the Internet?

I am a ViaSat customer. My TV service is Dish Network. All my TVs are connected to my home network either through WIFI or Velop Nodes. Although I have access to OnDemand programing, Netflix and other similar Internet streaming, which indicates my Dish Hopper is connected to the internet, Dish Support says they can not "see" that I am connected to the internet. This is the reason I get when I complain that I cant use the "voice commands" mode on my remote control. Is there a known reason why Dish can't "see" my internet connection on their end?

I am having a problem with dish on demand connecting through Viasat!!! Netflix works. Google assist works. Nothing can be explained through Dish or Viasat! So frustrated!!!

I know you are trying to do it, but I highly advise AGAINST hooking Dish on Demand to Viasat in the first place.  It will use an inordinate amount of data, ripping through your priority data in no time.

Best not to attach it.  Don't be frustrated.  Be thankful it doesn't work.

What Ex-Sat said, that has become common knowledge around here. Satellite TV and satellite internet need to practice social distancing from each other.
