Unlimited data plans?

Let me first start by saying I am unable to have anything but satellite internet. There is no option for dial up, dsl, or even cell service where I live. Yes I am way out in the country.
So I researched the few satellite services that are available to me. I chose Via Sat.
With that said and the fact I pay around 167.00 a month for my package. Yes I have the most I can possible get. I started out on a lower package but the usage was just not enough.

But.........
I was told 6 months ago that Via Sat was working on an unlimited package.
And that some people were on one.
I pay an ungodly amount for internet. I have no choice in the matter.
I am sure Via Sat just loves me.
But come on.....don't I pay enough for unlimited?

I have installed usage meters.....I watch my usage closely .... I stay up late some nights to watch videos like on YouTube....or if I want to view any of my facebook videos. I really do try and find all the apps that are running and stop them.

Now I have a child in an on line school that doesn't pay anything toward the internet....
I would not mind paying the 167 if I had unlimited service....
Can you please give me an honest answer about this....I am going to start looking at other companies if not.
I have had no problem with your service....except the confict between what my meter says and yours which is a huge difference.

If your not working on unlimited please just say so so I can look around....

Hello Marty, we do not currently offer an unlimited plan. In select areas, however, we do have a plan that has a soft cap of 150GB called Freedom.

is there a program out there that can start your downloads after 12 and cut off at 5 in the moning for movies

I was lied to by EXEDE back in September!   I was told that Unlimited would be available in my area in late October and to keep checking back.  Every time I contact customer service and relay the information I "was told by them"  I am now told that the rep who told me that was not authorized to make those premisses!   And that Unlimited service is not offered in my area of Colorado?   I personally believe Exede is waiting until the FCC forces them to become competitive, before they actually give customers a fair deal?   I was a DSL and Cable internet user for 15 years before moving to a rural area and now I feel extorted for these services!   My God its 2015 and I've gone from paying $30 per month for stable unrestricted high speed internet, to paying $150+ per month for this crap!  25gb and $10per gb  there after!   Continuous Dropped connections, and empty promises!   My wife and I have had to completely change our lifestyles!   Cancel Netflix, cancel HULU , Cancel Amazon Prime, Cancel Pandora,  and what a absolute waste of money purchasing an XBOX-ONE this Christmas!   No online gaming!   Its like going back 20 years in time!  I'm sure that farmers, ranchers, and the elderly who live in rural areas and have never been exposed to modern HS internet love this service?   But for the rest of us, this is a bad joke!   My God its 2015 and HS internet is no longer a luxury!  Its a necessity for communication, finance, news, entertainment, business....   Hopefully the Public Utilities Commission or a good law firm gets on board with changing this!  I'll be 1st in line for an anti trust or class action suit!   $150+ per month for 25gb is nothing more than GREED and EXTORTION!   I'm sure this post will be removed, but before it is!   Email me at gametraderstore72@yahoo.com and if enough of us join up maybe we can get the ball rolling.....

Hi Nate! I am just as upset as you! I have Internet and I can't get unlimited. I was told I could get the freedom package! Was not true! I started with the 10 and went to the 15. It's still not working out well for me. I hate to pay 129.00 for 25. I am looking around. Let me know if you have any luck!

Exede has been saying new improvements to service plans are coming in March, I am just waiting to see what, if any, improvements are really made.  If they do nothing significant, then we will jump ship to Hughes, in our area they now offer a 50 GB plan with their new "smart browsing" feature (which means the same things basically as the Evolution plan if you go over you are still able to access basic web browsing/email at regular speed) with 50 GB "bonus" as they call it from 2 am to 8 am.  I have done my research, chatted on their forum with existing customers and also with the prior owners of this house who also had Hughes and we should expect similar performance.  However, like the Freedom plan offered by Exede, this plan is not available everywhere.  But it is an option to look into if you need a plan with better access.  But I am hoping Exede will be able to produce plans similar to this in areas they don't offer their Freedom plan in.  Like a majority of people,  I'd take half or less the speed for double the data caps.
