Have read on this forum that ViaStat plans to launch additional satellite(s) this year.  Any truth in this?  If so, do we have a schedule?  And most importantly, is it going to help the present day congestion we're experiencing?
These questions need answered by Exede employees in the know.

The article Craig posted is a good summary of the timeline. We are still targeting the end of the year for the new launch.

And yes. This will double our bandwidth and will greatly help us with the congestion issues some beams are experiencing. In the meantime we are working on the backend to manage the traffic with what we have now.

Today my fast speed for internet was download 2.63 and upload 2.35 and that was the high one. Tested four times. Was told a few months back that the new satellite would be here this summer. Now we are seeing 2017? Not a happy camper. :(

I was told when i signed up that it was limited to so many people in a zone to help with traffic. Who is responsible for the slow down in my speed.
