Mostly it's a question of where they're available. Essential 10 is offered as a basic plan in Liberty plan areas.

They just changed all our plans from classic to Liberty and the Essential 10. The "Mostly" is what worries me. If it's the same except for the free zone time we want to move to it as the 3 to 8am would be better for us, I'm just worried about the fine print. We were planning to go to the Classic 15 tomorrow after our data rolled over tonight. I assume that's a no go now?

Sounds like you're in a beam that switched over, in which case the Classic plan may no longer be available. The Liberty plan should be a better deal, even if you go with the 10 or 12 GB plan (depends on where you are). You should be able to see what's available by logging into your my.exede.net account.

NO, no liberty. We actually use the LNFZ, it would just be better from 3 to 8 than 12 to 5 for us.

I put my plan on vacation speed for a month and when I called to have it go back to normal, which was the classic 10, they said it had to be changed to liberty or essential 10.  I wanted to keep it the way it was, with free time from 12-5am. Why did this happen? I didnt disconnect service, why cant I keep what I have?

Plans change from time to time in the various beams. You can only get the ones currently available. The only difference between the Classic and the Essential is that the Free Zone in Essential is 3 a.m. to 8 a.m.
