Data going too fast

In an entire month we used 147 GB. This month at 2 days into the billing cycle we have been throttled back and the system says we are over our 150Gb. Horse manure. We are not gaming, watching movies or visiting porn sites. Three computers and two phones do not 150 GB use. On the phone I was told we used it all up "web browsing"...

I have had a similar problem over the last 6 months.  I started out with a 25Gb plan resulting in a bill of $425.  The following month, I was out of town for a family emergency and was shocked to see a $1400 cc payment.  A call to Exede ended with  - we don't know what used the data so I better check my devices, however I had to upgrade to 100Gb plan to reduce my next bill.  When I got home, I immediately shut off the service.  Three days after my new month, I re-connected modem and usage indicated I already used 50 Gb with modem off.  All this reported to Exede including I get no emails for bills or anything for that matter.  They changed the modem and I now stay well under 100 GB for $300 a month but I'm still out almost $2000 for first 2 months with no response from Excede.

we are 2 old seniors and are not on the internet that much doing a whole month but yet every since we signed up with exede we've use 10 GB in the first week and then they slow us down so slow you cannot get online to get my bills paid, i've have sent 2 emails to them asking why our data is used so fast and no one gives me a straight answer the return email says nothing except to give them a call if we have any problems??? isn't that why i sent the email?. we use to have hughes even thou i did not like their service either they did not shut us down like exede does...We left on vacation on Sept 30 came back on Oct 7th, I went online and they state we already used our 10 GB date???? We haven't even been home so how'd we do that??? Frustrated

The Usage Meter on your account is intended to be used as a guide to help you monitor your usage totals. If you went on vacation and your modem was not powered on, it can take up to 24 hours to reflect updates. If your modem is currently offline, the Usage Meter will not update and may not display your correct "Current Service State". Vonnie--Sometimes programs update even when your not online. I have seen my lights on my modem blinking even when computer is turned off. Last two lights so know they are sending messages etc. back and forth. Depending on what system you have on your computer can make a difference. Windows 10 is really bad for big updates. Hope things can get better for you.
