I open my statement email and it shows my account has paid approx. $13 more than my usual cost on my monthly bill. I go online to see the statement has a new charge on it for "Excede EasyCare", not only for the month of October but I was also back-billed for the month of September. What is "Excede EasyCare" and how can you add it to my account without notifying me of the charges first? I don't know what it is or even if I want to add it to my account. How can I have my bill adjusted to remove these charges? What is Exceed EasyCare?

Hi Kathleen,

EasyCare is our protection plan that covers things like repointing dishes, service calls and gives you a priority service number that gets you to a agent quicker. It requires no commitment and can be cancelled anytime. EasyCare was only added if you called to have an appointment and agreed to having it added or when you set up service I know some promotions had it free for 3 months.

Dealers have been encouraged to try to sell the Easy Care plan with the first 3 months free. I do this but I am careful to explain that the customer will have the $5.99 added to their monthly bill if they do not cancel after the free 3 months. Perhaps your sales person failed to explain (or you didn't hear). You can cancel Easy Care at any time by calling customer care at 866-945-3258.

I was offered no such deal. Actually, in retrospect, I was treated as a customer very poorly. Regret signing up with Exede and felt coerced in doing so as no other option was available where I live. I believe Exede takes advantage of this. I have made several attempts at contacting Exede, to no avail. I continue to get cut off and the website does not allow email contact. Very discouraged.
