My download speed is consistently at 34kb/s which is quite bit under the rating. This occurs regardless of the time - I have tested it at ALL hours of the day and night so it is not due to too many customers online
And insult to injury I have noted that through put pulses. 6 seconds connected and 4 seconds turned off. This is a constant. Not noticeable when doing email but on downloads it wrecks havoc - most certainly with software updates.

Obviously you can email ViaSat, but what plan, how long has this been this way, what are you testing speeds with, what is your signal strength?

Occasionally I get those speeds as well. Usually during 7-11pm. I never think much of it, as that is usually the time people are likely streaming a movie. I am on 150GB Freedom plan. It usually resolves itself after an hour or 2. If it is all the time, email or call viasat.

Unless you’re out of priority data, you should always be concerned if you’re getting sub dialup speeds.
Man, satellite people are easy to please. I have a fridge I’ll sell that will work well if left outside on cold days.

Everything isn't slow at certain times. Just video. Everything else loads at full speed. I don't think video is a priority at all times on viasat

So freedom plans buffer with priority data? Is this recent or always been this way?

Not all the time though. Very rarely. I don't think it's quite dial up speed though. It's more like .5Mbps speed I think. I think it'll get better when they are able to utilize other satellite.

Interesting. Most of the time beams that offer the Freedom plan have very satisfied customers.

I am very happy with freedom plan. Not saying I'm not. I can do a lot with it. Most days Netflix works without a problem. This month I bought and downloaded COD WWII. 9 days until I reset and I have 35GB left. Which is still enough for browsing, watching movies, and a bit of other streaming. I do love it and I thank them for making it available as I don't think it will get much better where I live.

HI Gregory, Please call Viasat Customer Care at 855.463.933. They will be able to troubleshoot with you to determine what is casing you slow speeds. If you have used all of your priority data, your service will be slow unless you purchase additional data (Buy More) or wait for your account to replenish the data, on your bill date.
You can also send an email to viasatlistens@viasat.com with your account and contact information.

I was told that I would have DSL speed after my priority data ran out and it just keeps getting slower and slower. It's more like dial up.
