It means your service area is at capacity and Viasat is not offering any plans to new customers on either Viasat-1 or Viasat-2. Existing customers are limited to switching to whatever plans show on their portal/account pages (if any). The service area might open again should a sufficient number of subscribers cancel their service, but no way to predict when that would occur. Can't sell capacity that doesn't exist. Viasat could also shift some capacity that's dedicated for commercial or military purposes I guess, but don't count on it.

We're on to Viasat-3 in 2020.

12 mbps is too slow?  I never got speeds that high when I was on AT&T DSL.

I do successfully stream HD content from Netflix even when my speeds go down to 3 Mbps. Yes, I live alone, and my dear Tuxedo cat Melvin would rather sleep than stream, so I am good with it. My speeds during the evening are typically around 5 to 8 Mbps, but I am on one of the beams that is only moderately loaded.

@yourguytim -- you have already admitted that you have gone over your priority data limit. Your speed is what should be expected until your data resets.

You are still able to post to this forum, so you do still have a usable internet connection, albeit slow.

If your 12 GB per month is not enough to satisfy your data requirements, it is time to scale back your usage OR move up to a larger data plan.

Shame on you Mr Frederick. Yourguytim deserves to pay for hamburgers and get served steak instead.
