Do all eight of them need to have internet access all at the same time? If you need that many devices connected, I would suggest upgrading to a business plan, getting a NON wifi modem and, getting a business class router to handle it all.

Alternately, disconnect the ones that you don't need to have online.

Do you have the Surfbeam 2 modem or the Wifi modem?

I have the Surfbeam 2  modem with an ASUS wireless router, and I have had no problems with having 10 devices connected.

If you have the WiFi modem, you should send an email to exedelistens@viasat.com, explaining your problem. Be sure to include your account number and a phone number so the moderators can identify your account.

8 devices could be a load for the router to bear if running at once and depending on what's being done so you can expect some slowdown if it's a heavy workload (ie streaming, gaming). Like Steve suggested, if you email us at exedelistens@viasat.com we can review your usage and maybe find out what's going on. My guess is it's likely usage related but that email address will get you in touch with us to take a look.
