I had alot to download and went over on my bandwidth 1 time. Have had wildblue for years and have never even come close to going over before. Now I have stuff that needs to be done and can't do anything. Been same as shut off for days now. Time to look for a new server and it won't be exede.

Let me get this straight. You used up all your data on purpose, knew you were using it up, don't want to buy more and somehow this is Exede's fault and this makes them a bad company????????????????????????????

No I didn't use it up on purpose. No I didn't realize I was using it up. Already have the largest option they have. Never even used a fraction of it before. Goodbye

@Larry Stephens - Large downloads should be done during the LNFZ, which won't count against your monthly data allotment. You can still get regular speed during that time frame even if you are DAP'd

Thanks Steve. I have looked all over wildblue and can't find the times for the free time anywhere.

Ouch... I feel your pain. That Wildblue DAP hit me once in 7 years on Wildblue  and once you exceeded either the download or upload threshold you needed to get utilization back down to 70% for speeds to be restored.

Coupled with the 30 data rolling usage period it was extremely painful since you had to keep today's usage under what was used 30 days ago to see any significant drop in overall usage on a daily basis. I eventually gave up trying and simply shut it all down for a couple of weeks.

To the best of my knowledge there are no free zones on Wildblue nor is there a buy more program. Hopefully, Carol's correct and there's a get out of jail free card that's being offered now to those still on Wildblue.

P.S. I'd say switching to Exede at this time might be an option but there's no guarantee Exede is even available in your area.

Larry, I missed the fact that you are still on Wildblue. No free zone, no buy more data. If you need to download stuff, you might want to go to the library, or other places with free WiFi to do them, and let your 30 day rolling data number get some relief.

Hello Larry, for all WildBlue plans, speeds will return to normal when Upload and Download usage from the last rolling 30 day period falls below 70% of the threshold limit.
