Does the triangular VS2 modem allow for bridge mode so that I can use my own router? Also does anyone know how the WiFi performance has been on the VS2 modem as well as port control for forwarding etc?

From what I understand (please correct me if I'm wrong) the interface is the same between the SB2+ and the VWG (triangular modem).  So this should still work to place it in bridge mode:

The new modem has a much more robust router.
Yes it allows for bridge mode & is actually a vastly superior modem

Maybe it will replace the SB2+ someday, or we'll get an equivalent or better replacement. One can hope. :)
