ViaSat2 is designed with the additional capability to shift available bandwidth from lesser used beams to those with higher use. This is a great improvement over ViaSat1, with each beam at a fixed bandwidth.

I’ve pointed at this a couple of times. This sounds good and is a good thing till the new satellite becomes congested. Then people on historically undersold beams will have to learn to share resources.

A smart move might be to find the best plan available on the current satellite. We know it can’t transfer bandwidth.

That's why I'm staying on Viasat 1 as long as I can.
