ViaSat Router IP Address assignment issues.

The viasat router assigns duplicate IP addresses to devices on my network which creates significant connectivity issues. Apparently the router does not use DHCP to make assignments so how are IP addresses managed and how do i correct this? Nothing in the manual even remotely addresses this issue.

Is the Viasat router the only router on your network?  It sounds like you have two devices with DHCP enabled.  If you have a second wireless router, then you need to disable DHCP in one of them.

Sounds like you are using a third party router in addition to the router within the Viasat modem. If so, you need to assign a different address to the third party router to eliminate those duplicate addresses.

If you have the Viasat Surfbeam 2 plus modem/router, put it in bridge mode and use your own router.
